Genesis 3:8 (ESV) And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
I’m going to talk today about a person that has just told a lie or committed a sin and they’re trying to hide from God. Just like Adam and Eve when they ate from the forbidden tree they hid from God in the garden. But soon they were face to face with God and they couldn’t run then but they still made their excuses. Well my point is that the person who hides isn’t really hiding from God at all. Now identical twins may go to P.E. and Math for each other and fool everyone one but God can’t be fooled. You can’t hide from God but you can be deceived that’s the right thing to do by the enemy. He wants you to die in a life of sorrow but our loving God wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven. So don’t hide but trust Jesus as your savior, confess your sins, and ask for forgiveness. God sent His son Jesus to die and suffer in our place on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins. By putting your faith in Jesus as your savior, your sin debt will be paid and you can know you’ll have eternal life in heaven with the Lord.
John 3:16-21 (ESV) 16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
